THIS - IS -- CAPTIONING! The '300' DVD's Golden Treat

Those of you that have any interest in the recently-released feature film "300" on DVD will have a shiny gold. diamond in the bloody rough bonus in what is the special features section of the disc. It's one of those things that you have only seen a few times in DVD history, most recently in the GLADIATOR Special Extended Edition - another true diamond in the rough that all should own. "What is it?", you say?

Wafers of gold, with the same dashing glisten of untold fortune as the shields wielded by the firey-hearted Spartans?

Nay, coy and stupid fans of 300!

It's the Director and Screenwriter commentary track! Not only is it wonderfully detailed in this new disc, this time it's also CAPTIONED! It's great to see this feature included as well as to see what I hope is the onset of more inclusion like this. it provides those who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing or detail-oriented with a level of inclusion that is so incredibly appreciated that I don't have the words.

I had the pleasure of reviewing this feature film when it came out in February this year with Comicnaut Podcast host Ryan Parker, and it was as grand then as it is now. With the addition of this captioning, it makes the experience even more enticing as a media presentation and harkens to another project I'm working on with Overcast Media, where you can actually make your own feature commentary tracks on television, movies, DVDs and more.

KUDOS to the creators of the "300" DVD and to the spirit of inclusion into the realm of DVD feature commentary track captioning!
