Halloween Party Success!

The party my wife, daughter and I went to was excellent! Among the costumes that evening was a dude dressed as a guy from STARGATE - SG1, a Karate participant, an Andorian (from STAR TREK), a "chick" from the 50's, a honey bee, Superboy, and of course, yours truly dressed as "The Ghost of World Series Past."

I am proud to say it was not only a great evening, but I was voted as Best Costume!

I proudly claimed my Lord of the Rings 16-month Calendar for 1st Prize and enjoyed the rest of the evening!

We watched the most recent "VAN HELSING" starring Hugh Jackman and a host of for all intents and purposes, naked ladies. We missed quite a bit of it talking with friends and tending to our daughter, but it looked action-packed. I think we'll give it another shot when we can pay attention to it. Many thanks not only to our friends that attended, but to Christine for hosting the party!

Cheers!

Halloween Day - Quickie Costumes...

This year, I can't believe that I've known what I wanted to do for a costume WEEKS before the actual date of the event and it's a completely original idea:

This year, I will don my Jedi Knight Robe, custom paint my face like a skull, wear my Boston Red Sox cap (which I cannot wear at work for fear of being STONED TO DEATH ;) ), have a black shirt and pants set with super red "Sox" and be:

~ The Ghost of World Series Past ~

My wife and I will be attending a party with friends from a local science-fiction fan club that I am the president of (The ATLAS - http://www.ussatlas.org) and it will truly be fun to just show up at the party and participate.

I've also included a couple of links to websites below, for those of you that have complete procrastinated yourself into ridiculum:

Costume Ideas with Things Around the House (from iVillage)

Ridiculously Quick and Gittr' Done (from CostumeZone)

More after we're done and perhaps some pictures.

When reason fails in any situation, I always well people "GRAB THE WHEEL!"

The Blog is launched and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens.
